Emily came up with a really good idea to expand my project into my specialism of interior design on a smaller scale. The premise is that there is an abstract the area scene painting at the back of a box, and in the foreground is a detailed textiles pieces of a butterfly on a flower. This shows a clarity in the foreground and represents how we chose to see the positives in the world, past the negatives. This gave me another student’s perspective on my project and gave me some really good ideas to experiment with.
In reverse, I came up with ideas for Emily’s project that fit with her specialism of graphics. This was interesting to do because we have differing specialisms. I think I successfully presented her with some intuitive ideas and it showed me how positive it is to present your project to other people to gain new ideas.
